The Department of Psychiatry has devoted faculty who have received training from nation's leading mental health institution like the Institute of Mental Health, Chennai, NIMHANS, Bengaluru. The Department provides holistic care for all mental health issues by counselling, therapy, medications & brain stimulation.

The Department aims to promote awareness of mental health among the general public, medical professionals, and students through educating, enlightening, and promoting it; to reduce the stigma associated with common mental health issues and raise awareness about their management.

Common mental health issues like depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, addiction, bipolar, schizophrenia, OCD, sexual, child and old age psychological issues are treated comprehensively.

Our Services

During the consultation hours, counselling is offered to outpatients and their family members. Patients needing admission are given round-the-clock emergency care in the zero-delay ward and inpatient care in the wards. Patients and their loved ones have access to counselling sessions around-the-clock.

The family and marital clinic, geriatric, psychomotor, deaddiction, child guidance, and suicide prevention clinic are among the specialised services.
